Interestingly, Reply 1988 premiered in November 2015 and ended in January the following year, but its story remains heartwarming and relatable. It is a predecessor to two seasons of the Reply trilogy, with the other installments having different storylines.

Reply 1988 is set in the 80s, focusing on five high school students who have been friends since childhood. If you are wondering why this K-drama still touches hearts, it is because of its slice-of-life vignettes and powerful cast.
