The People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao probably got his fighting spirit from his mother. Dionisia Pacquiao, fondly called as Mommy D, is known for her fun and quirky personality, and strong faith.

Mommy Dionisia’s life is an open book. She single-handedly raised all her nine children and instilled in them the value of hardwork and dedication. Everyone knows how their family struggled before the Pambansang Kamao became one of the most famous boxers in the world.

Moving on to the dining area, she says she placed a red cloth to the chair where she is always seated. “Bakit ko nilagyan ng pula? Mahilig ako sa pula, dito ako nakaupo palagi.”

Despite having a comfortable life now, Mommy D still uses charcoal to cook food because she developed a fear with LPG tanks when her maid almost burned her previous mansion.
