The COVID-19 pandemic is currently a threat to everyone’s health. Workers have been assigned to do work from home, mass transportation is temporarily banned and checkpoints are everywhere. Citizens are highly encouraged to stay inside their homes as much as possible.
“Nature is telling us to slow down,” says Kyla Alvarez who tries to see the silver lining in all these. Her life as a singer is always fast-paced—shows and work commitments have been endless, which is why she took the enhanced quarantine as an opportunity to spend time with her family.

She writes in an Instagram post: “Day 2 of community quarantine and social isolation. Naglinis, naglaba, nagbasa, nag-aral kami ni Toby, at mamaya we’ll watch movies we’ve always wanted to watch as a family. Be part of the solution. Do your part and please stay home. Keep safe, everyone. There is a reason why this is happening. But I want to put my full trust in God. He’s got us.”
They’re not only helping minimize the spread of the virus, they’re also setting an example on how to maximize the time while staying at home.
