If not at work, many celebrities would rather stay home and become 'parents' to their 'green kids'—or their home's plants and flowers. Gardening can actually give so much benefit for a person's well-being. Entrepreneur and TV personality Martha Stewart will surely agree to this—she mentioned in her blog that this activity is ‘mentally and emotionally rewarding’.

No wonder why some celebrities like Aubrey Miles, Neri Miranda, Jennica Garcia-Uytingco, Gretchen Fullido, and Korina Sanchez are so into plants and take care of them as if they are their own offspring!

Scroll down below as these celebrity 'plant moms' show their plants and share their knack for gardening!

1. Aubrey Miles

Sexy mom Aubrey Miles, who recently gave birth to a baby girl, isn’t only just a proud mom to her children, but also a ‘plant mom’ to her collection of classic bougainvillaea.

She often takes to Instagram how proud she is of them (like a true plant mother!) as she can only make them bloom twice a year.

She goes on to specify how she takes care of them: “I fertilize and trim them before their season to bloom. I make sure they get direct bright sun coz they Love it. Water every day when summer. More sun more flowers. Ito yung naka lagpas na ako sa tita mode, Loud and proud Lola mode na.”

Aubrey even dedicated a hashtag for them: #amilesplants!

2. Korina Sanchez-Roxas

Rated K host and broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas is also a certified plant lover. As seen on her Instagram accounts, she would take to plant shops such as in Cubao, near her home, to buy plants on Sundays. She also shares how they value exposing the young ones to planting like her niece, Meila.

In one of her captions she said: “As my Mom showed me, plants are inextricable from the home. Kailangan may buhay na halaman. Good practice for kids to grow up caring for a plant. Trains them to care and be responsible for a life. Try it in your home and with your child! Happy Sunday!”

3. Gretchen Fullido

News reporter Gretchen Fullido expresses her ‘kilig’ towards having plants on social media. She calls herself “Plantita” and is evidently a hands-on plant mom.

She often shares her plant motherhood journey on Instagram and expresses how plants make a difference when placed in a home: “Aside from them being soooo nice to look at & relaxing to the eyes, the quality of air also improved (I feel like there’s more oxygen like what we studied in school... remember? ??)”

The most notable one is her reduced stress ever since she became a “plantita” and also, the plants made her feel ‘calmer and more at peace’.

Gretchen also shares that she wasn’t aware of her being a green thumb at first until she noticed her plants thriving: “For those asking if I knew I had a green thumb, I actually didn’t. I just really tried my very best to keep them alive and give them lots of TLC... and I say hi to them & talk to them — they’re living things after all just like my pets... only, they can’t move but I really believe that they have feelings too.”

4. Neri Miranda

She often shares that she harvests from her fruit-bearing plants such as eggplant and tomato with her son Miggy. Looks like Miggy is really enjoying!

In one of her captions, Neri also wishes for a farm someday. Haha! Sarap mangarap! Wala namang masamang mangarap, hehe!”

5. Jennica Uytingco

No one would ever be skeptical that actress Jennica Uytingco is into plants because her Instagram bio says enough: “Plants are my friends."

Jennica owns an online plant shop called Duwende in a Pot where succulents and small plants such as cacti are offered.

Amusingly, each Duwende in a Pot includes a special manual where one will find a step-by-step instruction on how to take care of the plant. She’s deeply concerned about them and advises buyers to really take responsibility, and never neglect their plants.
