Filipinos have gone gaga over Thai BL (Boy’s Love) stories like 2gether: The Series and TharnType: The Series during quarantine. Because of the undeniable kilig from two male lead cast members and its stories, staying home becomes much less boring.

On Twitter, fans are wondering what it would be like if the Philippines had its own BL series. Lo and behold, news on Oh, Mando, starring actors Alex Diaz and Kokoy De Santos has actually been circulating online.  Lo and behold—there is one, for real!

It can be recalled that Alex had already informed StarStudio.ph in February about this upcoming iWant project. The series apparently had been filming, and its release date yet to be announced, because of the enhanced community quarantine.

Oh, Mando director Eduardo Roy Jr. revealed more details about the story.

Oh, Mando is associated with the popularity of Thai BL series, but Eduardo said that this new iWant offering has something other Thai series don’t have.

Eduardo also shared that they still have a few more taping days. According to him, they will work straight on the post-production once the taping is done.

Its actors Alex Diaz and Kokoy de Santos are a fresh team-up for a love story.

When asked why Eduardo chose the two young actors, he replied, “Si Alex, nakita ko kasi sa kanya ‘yung potential na maging leading man ni Kokoy.

He also commended de Santos’s acting prowess.

As we prepare to watch Oh, Mando soon, let us get to know its lead cast members Alex and Kokoy more.
