K Brosas never fails to make viewers laugh in every project with her hilarious antics and unique sense of humor.

But when the community quarantine took effect due to the spiking number of Coronavirus cases, K, just like many citizens, had no choice but to take a rest from work.

K shared in an exclusive interview with Starstudio.ph what she has been up to at home since the quarantine has been imposed.

QUARANTINE AND PREPARATIONS

Filipinos were taken by surprise and were even apprehensive when the lockdown was implemented in Manila, but for K, this did not come as a surprise. “Eventually dadating din tayo dun. Test sa atin 'to kasi ‘yung buong mundo, damay.”

And when ABS-CBN announced that even tapings would have to be halted, the actress revealed that she saw this coming as well.

Once the announcement was made, she did not hesitate and did what she could to prepare for the lockdown.

“Once ako mag-grocery, tinotodo ko na. Kasi ako, ayoko ‘yung every week nag-gro-grocery. I just wash my hands at ligo-ligo rin everyday!” the Kapamilya celeb shared.

BEING AT HOME WITH CRYSTAL

On staying at home, K admits that she is still trying to get used to it, trying her best to adjust to the quarantine.

The Unofficially Yours star continued, “Pero in all fairness, bumalik ako sa pagluluto.

K also emphasized that now she and her daughter, Crystal, try to make the most of the time they have at home and said, “’Yung work kasi niya work from home so hindi siya apektado. So pagminsan nagkukulong siya sa kwarto or nagchichikahan lang kami. Kumakain rin kami at nagbo-bonding.”

HELPING OTHERS

Apart from bonding with Crystal at home, K found other ways to be productive, which was through helping those in dire straits. If you could work from home you can also help from home.

Just like other celebs and concerned citizens, K revealed how much she feels for those who lack the resources and those who have to go to work.

“Kawawa sila. Sana masolusyonan ‘to. Heartbreaking talaga 'pag may nakikita akong naglalakad, or nung may nakita ako patient na kailangang pumunta sa treatment or dialysis,” she said with a melancholic tone.

ON SPREADING POSITIVITY

When asked if there was a time when she panicked, K replied that she tried as much as much as possible to remain calm and collected.  “'Yung panic, very very light. Kasi wala kang choice kundi kumalma.

The Northern Lights: A Journey To Love star gave advice to citizens and said, “Kung hindi mo talaga kelangan magtrabaho or mag-commute, stay home and stay put.  It’s safer. And pray. Also take this time to bond with family or gumawa ka ng bagong hobby.”

She also has a message for those who have anxiety. “Stay as calm as possible. And of course keep healthy. Pero for the mental part, nakakabaliw talaga ang isang month na walang ginagawa, so kailangan rin nating i-check ang ating mental health. So, if you have a Viber group or friends mag-chat kayo because it helps take your mind off things. At maghanap rin ng diversion. 'Pag ma-trigger, stay away from social media kung kaya.”

THOUGHTS ON COVID

In spite of all the negativity and commotions surrounding the pandemic, K said that she is still hopeful that the whole world can surpass these trying times.

“I’m praying and naniniwala ako na mawawala din siya, kasi hindi ko alam kung handa tayong lahat kung mag worsen ‘to eh.”

She paused for a moment and carried on, “Ako, hindi naman ako afraid of death.

On another note, K said lightly, “We should be ready for anything and let’s be kind. Kelangan tumawa at ngumiti.

The veteran actress stressed that at this point, one’s social status is irrelevant and that we are all equal—and that helping should be our only language.  “Dapat hindi ‘to issue eh kasi lahat tayo apektado. Kung meron kang extra, be a blessing to others.
