Another tragedy hits the entertainment industry as actor Miko Palanca passed away December 8.

Miko, who rose to fame in 1999's 'Tabing Ilog', and appeared in several noteworthy projects until he left ABS-CBN in 2012, was found dead after allegedly falling off a mall building in San Juan City on December 8, 2019, at 3:56 PM. No further details on the circumstances surrounding his passing are known as of yet. 


A source told ABS-CBN’s entertainment website PUSH that Palanca was supposedly seen on CCTV entering the mall at the north side.

A police report also said that Miko only had a cellular phone, and that there was no identification on the body.

 

THE FAMILY'S STATEMENT


Following the tragic event, Miko’s family, also known as Bernard Palanca's younger brother, has issued a statement regarding his sudden death.

“We are extremely saddened by the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Miko Palanca. The whole family is grateful for the incredible outpour of love and support that has been coming in today.

A PROMISING ACTOR

Miko Palanca was also one of the most promising actors in the entertainment industry. Some of his other memorable projects include Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. The actor’s last series with the Kapamilya Network was the daytime soap Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit.
