She hasn't yet become much of a household name, but wait until you get to experience her— she's the one behind the bubbly character Mari in the movie Extra Service, Aira in Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes, Minnie in Ang Pambansang Third Wheel, Hasmin in the teleserye A Love to Last, Savannah in Kadenang Ginto, while also playing Rhian Bonifacio's best friend Ma. Lilybeth in The General's Daughter, to name a few.

She is 28-year old actress Kim Molina. She’s a successful theater actress who has turned into one of the most in-demand supporting actresses.

Now: she’s ready to take the lead onscreen.

Kim’s roots would actually always trace back to music. Her name, Kim, was even inspired by the role of award-winning singer and Broadway star Lea Salonga in Miss Saigon, because her parents have always been Lea’s fans. She was born and raised in a family of musicians and performers.

At the young age of two, she was already a singing kid, and won, at 14, in The Filipino Channel's (TFC) Pop Star in ABS-CBN’s Middle East search in Saudi Arabia where she grew up.

Needless to say, Kim’s performing prowess has been made and proven ever since she was little.

Fast forward to 2009, Kim represented the Middle East in the World Championships of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Los Angeles, California where she won Senior Grand Champion Vocalist of the World.

She then went to being a professional stage actress and debuted in Tarzan the Musical by Viva Productions, and gave life to more characters in more theatre plays. To add to her rich resume of performances, she top-billed PETA’s Rak of Aegis in 2014 as Aileen, and won “Female Lead Performance in a Musical” during Philstage’s Gawad Buhay Awards Night.

Kim goes beyond the box as she discovers onscreen acting.

She gave life to Kelly in ABS-CBN’s Primetime teleserye, Till I Met You and appeared in films such as Camp Sawi as Joan, one of the main characters. In 2017, she was awarded ‘Best Performance By A Female Recording Artist’ by Awit Awards 2017 for her debut single "Naluluha Ako" under Viva Records.

Stills from MOMOL Nights

This 2019, Kim is unstoppable. She’s set to prove that she’s got what it takes and leads the iWant movie MOMOL Nights with Kit Thompson. They’ll make the cool rainy season hotter—as the film’s plot focuses on a woman (played by Kim) who tries to move on from her failed relationships using MOMOL (or this generation’s term for make-out, make-out lang) and one-night stands. How she resists being emotionally attached is something we’re all going find out!

From singing to the theater to teleseryes and movies, Kim now takes the spotlight—and we’re all for it.
