Months before the biggest collegiate athletic event in the country, New Era Philippines just dropped their newest collection in collaboration with the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP.)
Students and alumni alike from the eight member institutions of the UAAP will surely be excited to sport the new line of caps representing their respective universities. “With this collection, we recognize every Filipino’s love and passion for collegiate sports and as a lifestyle brand that is deeply rooted in sports since the 1920s, we are excited to partner with organizations like the UAAP. We want to be able to replicate the same passion for sports around the world thru headwear. We are looking forward to see students and athletes, fans, faculty and die-hard alumni wearing these caps while cheering for their beloved alma matter,” Melvin Lloyd Lim, President and CEO of Authentic Caps Distribution, Inc. said.
The New Era x UAAP collection comes in the signature 9Forty silhouette bearing the university sports logos and primary colors of De la Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, Ateneo de Manila University, University of the Philippines, University of the East, Far Eastern University, National University, and Adamson University. “This collaboration with New Era Philippines promotes camaraderie and unity among the eight universities in the association. This is also the first time the UAAP has partnered with a huge global brand as their official headwear partner; and with this collaboration, we celebrate the unbreakable bond that exists between man and school spirit. We are looking forward to more collaborations with New Era Philippines,” Dewl Acabado, ABS-CBN Sports Licensing Manager shared.
The much-anticipated collection is the union of rich heritage and tradition aimed to innovate a whole new age of lifestyle and to provide an elevated appreciation to premium fangear. This first collection also signifies New Era’s goal to become the staple headwear partner of the UAAP. “For the past three years, we’ve seen how passionate Filipinos are about their New Era caps and we are delighted to see that they continue to support all of the collections that we have,” added Lim.
