In case you missed it, a special kind of gathering took place on the eve of our Independence Day in Poblacion, Makati—and it was epic! The restaurants and bars along Z Street and Alfonso St. closed itself to traffic, transforming the thriving and booming nightlife scene into a #RePOBLACIONngPilipinas street party in celebration of the Philippines’ 120th Independence Day.
Despite the heavy downpour, both locals and tourists alike painted the town in red, yellow, and blue to ring in another year of freedom. A bonus: Live music from Raymund Marasigan, Kjwan, Wsk, Crwn, Marcus and Badkiss, The Diegos, Razorback, Koochie Coochie Mikkie, and Lucy Dee as well as overflowing drinks and bar chows as crafted by our country’s top chefs.
