The annual Metro Manila Pride March saw a new venue and hashtag last June 24, but the cause remained the same. Last Saturday afternoon, members and supporters of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ+) community marched around the streets of Marikina City and reunited at the Plaza de los Alcaldes for the culminating show, the entire event dubbed #HereTogether calling for inclusivity in Philippine society regardless of sexual orientation. (The "heavens" even celebrated with the crowd after an actual rainbow—a universal LGBT symbol—sliced through the sky approaching evening!) We got ourselves entertained ogling at either the witty slogans or the half-grandiose, half-rainbow-inspired outfits, some of which we photographed here as visual reminders about embracing diversity and more.
