Masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable to wear—you know it, and so do many other celebrities. Jennifer Aniston, for instance, shared the same sentiment in a post, adding "it's worse that businesses are shutting down, jobs are being lost, health care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion, and so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren't doing enough."
If you've been seeing many Hollywood celebrities posting their masked selfies with the hashtag #wearadamnmask, it's because American fashion designer and philanthropist Tory Burch started this "challenge" to spread awareness about the dangers of not wearing one.
"(There's) a very easy way each of us can help" stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, she said. To protect ourselves and everyone else from it, "that's to #WearaDamnMask whenever we are in public."

To add to Tory's message, a recent bit of news has become something of an eye-opener to celebs. A few weeks ago, a series of Clinical Microbiology Lab Director Richard Davis' tweets circulated online, showing how a face mask can block respiratory droplets coming from the mouth and throat.
