A lot of us may be going through withdrawals of some sorts after mega hit Korean drama Crash Landing On You ended a couple of weeks ago. The cross-boarder love story between Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Se-ri played by Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin has captured the hearts of many avid (and new) K-drama fans and is continuing to take over the internet with memes, beauty tips, style hacks, and so much more.
But since summer is fast approaching, we thought, why not take on an ultimate CLOY tribute and visit some of the series’ iconic filming locations in South Korea, Switzerland, and Mongolia? Here, we're giving you access to the filming locations, plus, suggest activities that you can do while you're there!

The series is mostly filmed in South Korea. To name a few, the rainforest where Yoon Se-ri crash landed on the so-called North Korea Demilitarized Zone is called the Hallasan National Park, Jeju Island. It’s a popular tourist spot where hikes are offered. (If you want to explore it yourself, you can take this tour on Klook!)
But if you're curious to see Captain Ri's North Korean village, head to Taean, a three-hour ride from Seoul. Be the ultimate fangirl and go inside Ri Jeong Hyeok’s home (yes, you're allowed to enter!), the village laundry area, Young Ae’s home and the rest of the village!
Up for some camping ala Company Five? Binae Island in Chunju is actually a popular camping site among South Koreans, and it was where the cast filmed the sweet last picnic scene Yoon Se-ri shared with Captain Ri’s Company Five.
If you find yourself in Busan, the fictional Pyongyang hotel where Yoon Se-ri meets Gu Seung Joon coincidentally meet is located there and it's called the Commodore Hotel.
As you may know, Switzerland is also another memorable place for the couple. It is in Lake Brienz, Iseltwald where Ri Jeong Hyeok played the song he made for his brother for the first and last time; the Sigriswil Panorama Bridge where Ri Jeong Hyeok and Seo Dan asked a random woman to take their photograph on the bridge; the quaint park in Lindenhof, Zurich where Seri mistakes a pianist for Ri Jeong Hyeok, and of course, the First Flieger, Grindelwald where Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Se-ri’s reunion was filmed against the gorgeous landscapes of Grindelwald. (You can also experience paragliding at First Flieger by booking this activity on Klook!)
In the series, Yoon Se-ri and Ri Jeong Hyeok embarked on a journey to Pyongyang by train, which ended up taking 13 to 16 hours. The scene where the two characters ended up spending the night in a field actually took place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Curious about Mongolia? You can discover other top sights and activities here!
