The world lost another icon. One of NBA's greatest champions, Kobe Bryant, passed away at the age of 41 in a tragic helicopter crash alongside his 13-year-old daughter and prodigy, Gianna. According to reports, the two were expected for a basketball tournament in Thousand Oaks when the aircraft slammed into the hillside of Calabasas, California and killed all nine of them on board.
Not only is Kobe known for his impact inside the court but as a true blue family man. And if there's any way we can prove it, it was his close relationship with second-born Gigi which go beyond the regular dad-giving-child-advice-about-guys relationship. Kobe actually enjoyed coaching Gigi's school team, Mamba, the same moniker the sports legend gave to himself after watching Kill Bill. From this, we ought to believe that she could've followed her father's legacy. Even the late great Kobe once said, "She's got it."
See all their sweetest father-daughter moments in the gallery above as we remember their legendary bond. Rest in peace, Mamba and Mambacita.
