At the fast-developing Vertis North area in Quezon City, north-hailing foodies into Chinese food are in for a new habit. They need not have to wade through the traffic en route to Binondo for some authentic Chinese food indulgence—as Pin Wei, Seda Vertis North's recently opened Chinese restaurant, is poised to fill the gap.
With Executive Chinese Chef Hann Furn Chen helming the kitchen, Pin Wei easily caters to top-of-mind Chinese/ Chinese fusion cravings via an impressive menu of dim sum, hand-pulled noodles, and even Chinoy staple sweet and sour pork. Always putting a surprise twist, the resto also serves the usuals: from barbecue and duck to seafood and beef down to Xiao Long Bao.
Pin Wei deliberately follows the branding of its five-star location—hence, its special dishes made to address the more discreet taste. Thus, the restaurant's Beijing Duck in homemade hoisin sauce served with Chinese pancakes and Crispy Roasted Suckling Pig prepared for four hours and made less oily than the lechon macao are must-tries for the most momentous occassions.
Pin Wei seats 130 including those in select private areas built for a more intimate dining experience. It stresses its refined branding (the resto, after all, translates to "good taste") more so in its design—wooden cushioned chairs, chandelier lights, wooden panels, and carpeted flooring, all laid out following an oriental minimilastic design one can only take granted while having a feast.
