Miss Universe 2019 kicks off in less than a week. And while we're excited to find out to whom Miss Universe Catriona Gray will pass on the crown, we're also more than a little interested in our very own representative, Gazini Ganados and her Miss U preparations.
Aside from her diet and fitness routine, we're also curious about how this Cebuana beauty queen manages to keep her skin gorgeous despite her busy schedule. (Gazini has said her skincare is really "not complicated, but I am very meticulous with the products that I use.") So, we did a little snooping from her Instagram and even asked one of her makeup artists—Drew Galleguez—what her real tricks are!

As told by Drew, Gazini's top secret to healthy skin—as someone who's at shoots and events all the time—is her deliberate, specific, and frequent removal of dirt and grime on her face. And, the stylist added, that she uses a gentle cleanser to do so.
Gazini follows this with a moisturizer, Drew revealed. "Gazini always uses coconut oil—it's her all-in-one favorite," he said. We cannot agree more because this simple product can be used for your hair, face, and body!
And finally, Drew said, Gazini makes it a point to wear sunscreen—not only for her love of the beach, but it being a necessity. Specifically, the stylist said, the beauty queen uses a lightweight, water-resistant and fast-absorbing sunscreen daily. "Living in a tropical country where it is generally sunny and the humidity is high, it has been a challenge for me to keep my skin protected even after long sun exposure."
