#ABSCBNLifestyleInspo Mimiyuuuh: Why I'll Always Fight For LGBTQ+ Rights

Editor’s Note: Like many members of the LGBTQIA+ community, Mimiyuuuh hopes that the SOGIE Bill will be passed into law.  She’s also become active in pride events, having attended her first Pride March in the Philippines last June 2019.  While she is not as affected by discrimination towards her SOGIE, she sees how it affects society as a whole and shares her sentiments in detail.

Sa government, sana maging open na tayo. I support the SOGIE Bill. Honestly, sad ako na the government needs to create this bill para maprotektahan ng mga LGBTQIA+ community when in fact LGBTQIA+ rights are also human rights. Di ko gets na bakit kailangan pa ng separate bill for human rights of LGBTQIA+.

We are not less of a person than you. That's wrong.

Let’s educate ourselves pa more. And if you don’t have anything good to say, shut up na lang tayo.

Ang sad lang na yung ibang tao hindi sumusupport sa SOGIE bill when, in fact, hindi naman sila maapektuhan.  If yung SOGIE bill ang magpoprotek sa amin, why not ipush yun? I think what’s wrong here is hindi sila compassionate towards others.

Kasi kayo yung kailangan namin mag-step up for us.
