We're always proud of the fact that Catriona Gray, Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and eventual Miss Universe titleholder, was our very first celebrity guest editor or #ABSCBNLifestyleInspo. The concept of having a celeb editor already surfaced by the start of 2018 but it was only in June when we finally realized it. We got lucky Catriona got her schedule freed up by then; I could still remember how it pushed through—the team driving her from the Araneta office in Quezon City all the way to our hotel location in Pasay. We saw the day end with a downpour outside, ourselves finding the shoot tiring, agitating, but altogether magical. Never have we worked with someone funnier, louder, more animated, and more intelligent as Cat. We found her victory ours as well come December.
This time, a year after we launched the #ABSCBNLifestyleInspo, we're getting Gazini Ganados, Cat's successor from Talisay, Cebu as our newest guest editor. While Gazini, or Jazz, personality wise, is much shyer than Cat, as she's calm proper, modest, gentle—maybe a perfect contrast to our reigning Miss Universe, she's just as well insightful. (She makes her wild side known through her outdoor adventures!) Catch this modern Filipina list her thoughts on a variety of relevant topics: relationships, social media, fitness, the idea of pageantry, and of course her advocacy toward the elderly.
Gazini had this mild disposition at the shoot, but not enough to mask her excitement following in the footsteps of all the queens before her. Getting her as our Lifestyle Inspo on the site, months before she takes on the biggest competition of her life, perhaps might work as a lucky charm?
