If you’re still all about neons and millennial pink, don’t you think it’s about time to move on and go towards a more sophisticated palette? We’re talking about neutral beige colors. Don’t get us wrong, we still love black, but there’s something about this season’s must-have color that is very much understated and classic.
Though neutrals may come as plain and boring, that shouldn’t be the case. One way to wear this color is through monochromatic dressing. It’s one of the easiest ways to instantly look chic and fashion-forward, and celebrities like Mari Jasmine, Kelsey Merritt, and Aimee Song are just some of the few who love this trend.
If you’re still unsure how to style monochromatic neutrals, celebrity stylist Eldzs Mejia gives us a few tips!

Mix and match textures
Add volume to the look by wearing several textures. Eldzs says, "Mixing different textures and fabrics but keeping it in neutral and monochromatic shades will make things less uniform. From silk to denim, or knit to leather, textures are one way to add that dimension to your outfits."
Layer neutral tones
Wearing one shade of neutral color may be the easiest option, but adding different variations of the color makes it more interesting. “Layering is another way to get creative with your neutral and monochromatic looks,” says Eldzs. “Break it with a statement belt or a trendy bag or shoes.”
Print on print!
As mentioned, neutrals need not to be plain. “Playful prints with the same colored base fabrics is an adventurous way to do it, but still subtle enough because of the monochromatic colors," Eldzs stresses.
