Building Diaries: Neo-Classical and Art Deco Finds

We may be all living in the modern times, but this does not mean that we should forget the architecture of yesteryear. At Manila's Sta. Cruz district, a good majority of the buildings come from the early 1900s and showcase neo-classical and art deco buildings, two design periods that are equally iconic. One of Sta. Cruz' more famous streets? It is Escolta street, home to Manila's early skyscrapers.

Some may be preserved while some may be dilapidated, but we all hope that the government would put in efforts to preserve these iconic structures.
