Fitness Inspo: At 54, The Walking Dead’s Michael Cudlitz Is Still Built Like A Sergeant!

ToyCon 2019’s celebrity guest Michael Cudlitz is best known for his roles as Sergeant Denver “Bull” Randleman on the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers and as Sergeant Abraham Ford on AMC’s The Walking Dead. But these days, he’s getting noticed for his work behind the camera. After his character’s death on dystopian series, he returned to the show as director. He made his directorial debut on an episode in Season 9 and is slated to direct another on Season 10.

Whether he’s killing zombies or sitting on the director’s chair, there’s no denying that Michael looks great doing it. His bulky build is especially impressive, considering he’s 54! (See the Sergeant's commitment in photos in our gallery above!)

So how does Michael maintain that military bod? Apparently he squeezes as many workouts as possible on taping days, either early in the morning or late at night. “With my age, it’s not good. I have to work out constantly because genetically, I’m built to be heavier,” Michael revealed at the ToyCon 2019 press conference

Regardless of your genetics or workout routine, Michael stressed on setting "realistic goals”—and of course to live by them. Not only do we have to keep our body physically healthy but mentally as well, he reiterated.
