Manila isn’t short of food parks, you know that. You also know that the charm behind food parks involves the thrill of bouncing from one stall to another—even one park to another—just to satisfy your palatal curiosities. This is exactly what drove Monette Garcia’s husband Jess to erect her own food park-like concept in San Fernando, La Union late last year. Hence, The NLMTD Café & Restaurant, now bringing residents' and guests' cravings under one roof very close to the hot surfing spot of San Juan.
Think big burgers and unlimited chickens wings, exotic and fusion dishes, favorite Filipino desserts, and whatever you'd expect of food parks and more—this is what The NLMTD is all about.
Go on a solo foodtrip or tag the squad along. Orders are made for small or big groups, each with the intention of filling you up big time in serving and taste. Finish off the famed Giant Burger, which is the biggest burger known in La Union, on your own or with your buddies. Apart from chicken wings, eat all the nachos you can with the resto's unlimited nachos for merienda or late-night grub. People also flock over The NLMTD for their Kare-kare and the Bulalot—an interesting union of Bulalo and Balut! If you’re in the mood for a boodle after those hours surfing in the sea, try their meat and seafood boodle. Finally, end your meal with the sweet fusion of native delicacies of Leche Maja, which combines the creamy leche flan on top of a layer of Maja Blanca.
Next to offering bilao specials for delivery and catering services, the owners vow to expand The NLMTD's menu further, teasing Asian delicacies such as Biryani, Khao Soi, Mongolian BBQ, Malaysian Kaksa, Singaporean Cereal Prawn, Indonesian Chicken Satay, Japanese Chicken/Pork Katsu, and Korean Kimbap.
