It was one seemingly uneventful night sitting at the back of their pick-ups when Ol’ Pub Restobar owners Paolo Ortega and JC Valero came up with the idea of putting up the now-two-year-old resto and bar. Where the bar now stands was once a bushy lot—today, it thrives in San Juan, La Union as a hotspot for people finding a good place to grab a drink or sit down and dine. Or both.

Originally, the idea for Ol’ Pub Restobar was a beer garden in the Surfing Capital of the North. Paolo and JC eventually decided to cater to more than just beer lovers. Thus, they added food to their menu.
Start with their tasty Spam & Fries, then order the Sausage Platter for a meaty fix. Also try their savory barbecue and a variety of pizzas—top picks are the 3 Cheese and Tio Pablo pizzas. Wash it down with a glass of Mango Mojito or Frozen Margarita, or any of their other refreshing cocktails!
While their food and drinks are the highlight at Ol’ Pub, you won't be able to resist its visual charm and inviting ambiance. The rustic interior is complemented with vintage finds unearthed from the owners’ father—spot an old typewriter, clock, camera, and more, and notice the details as most of their furniture are made from recycled materials.

At night, live music is served along with your orders, so you can perfectly relax, chill, drink, and eat to your heart’s delight. You’ll hear hearty conversations and laughter from customers, as if to encapsulate the feeback from the crowd it gathers.
Ol' Pub plans to elevate the experience by working on new dishes to add to their menu and creating a mini-museum of the owners’ father’s antique collection soon.
