Describe yourself in five words.
I’m motivated, god-fearing, committed— to opportunities that come my way, flexible, and friendly.
How do you think people see you?
Most of the time, I’d always get na suplado daw ako. Yun yung unang impression nila sa akin. Pero pag nagkakaroon sila ng chance na makausap ako, ma-meet ako, nagbabago yung impression na yun. “You’re kalog pala, you’re mabait, you’re friendly naman pala.” Siguro na mi-misunderstand lang kung quiet ka. Pero may mga times din na if necessary, ako yung nag i-initiate para lang ma-break yung ice. But most of the time, quiet lang talaga ako.

What is something you’d be happy doing every single day?
Eating, or listening to music.
What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve done lately?
I’m a homebody. I don’t go out. Siguro kung lalabas ako, I just watch movies with friends or eat out, pero I don’t go to bars, or parties. Siguro pag may nangyayari sa amin ng friends ko na bigla nalang kami mag-de-decide to go out of town, like we go to tagaytay and eat there. Biglaang labas lang na ganoon.

How do you like to spend your alone time?
Nag-pe-paint ako. So whenever nasa mood ako, and at the same time may mahabang oras talaga, nag-pe-paint ako. I do portraits, charcoal painting.
What do you think about when you are by yourself?
Most of the time, I contemplate about what will happen in the next five years. Na sometimes, magkakaroon ka ng chance na mag-isip kung worth it ba yung mga ginagawa mo ngayon? Parang reflection lang ng mga na-re-receive mo, and at the end of the day, I always end up thankful for what I have so far. Mapapangiti ka nalang na, ‘Thank you, Lord’ kasi who would have thought na ganito yung mangyayari sa akin, sa work ko ngayon.
What was the best phase of your life so far?
I think yung pagiging provider sa family, yung natupad yung pangarap ko sa mom ko na mabigay yung mga gusto nya without looking at the price tag. Kasi yung ultimate dream ko before, whenever we’d go out, pag mayroon syang gusto, nagtatanong sya, “Magkano ba yan?” So it came to a point na sasabihan ko sya, “Don’t think about the price. Pag may magustuhan ka, just tell me and then we’ll see if kaya ng budget, then I’ll buy it for you.” I think yun yung pinakamasayang phase sa akin ngayon. Siyempre, aside sa na-re-receieve kong work and opportunities, iba kasi pag nakaka-provide ka sa family.
What was your worst phase? And how did you overcome it?
Worst phase siguro so far, yung na-di-discourage ka sa work, kahit ginagawa mo na yung sa tingin mo na best mo, laging mayroong pangit na tingin ng mga tao sayo. Mahirap sya, pero kailangang tanggapin for you to grow, and at the same time, para mas maramdaman mo na you can do better. Even though you think you’re doing your best already, pag may mga tao na feeling nila kulang pa, not to prove anything to them, but to yourself— that’s one encouragement for me na mas may kaya pa ako sa ginagawa ko.
Whats on your bucket list this year?
This year, may kinalaman pa rin kay mama eh. Madala sya out of the country for the first time. Kasi ako na-try ko na, so it’s about time for my mom to go out of the country, too.
