Hindi talaga ako stylish na tao. Ever since, I’m a T-shirt-jeans kind of girl. Whenever people see me, kunyare from Star Magic or my manager, they would always get mad at me kasi sneakers lang suot ko tapos naka T-shirt lang na white and cap. I was very boyish before!

I really admire the style of Heart Evangelista. My gosh, I could never dress like her! Ang classy nya and hirap niyang gayahin—hindi ko afford mga suot nya! But she pulls it off so well! If I could be like that every day, I would. I take cues from her outfits, including her gorgeous accessories and jewelry.

For me, kung anu yung basic, yun dapat yung expensive, kasi yun yung matibay. Kunyare, for khaki pants, bumili ka nang mahal kasi you’ll wear it forever, you could wear it for 5 years and hindi siya maluluma, kasi sila yung classic. For my other clothes naman, I think it’s better to buy the affordable ones, yung less expensive, especially yung once or twice mo lang susuotin.

I also pick my outfits according to the weather and the season. Super excited ako that summer na because now, I can wear all my florals, I could wear light colors. Pero, kunyare pag maulan, I wear dark colors. Yung color palate ko, it depends din sa season and the weather.

I think style is also connected to your state of mind. I started dressing up when I started recovering from my depression. It’s a healing process: whenever I feel down or whenever I feel ugly, I try to dress up. I dress according to how I feel that day. Basically, kung saan ako comfortable.
