Throwback Treasure: Remember When Feb. 14 Meant Something More For Heart-John Fans?

Throwback Treasure: Remember When Feb. 14 Meant Something More For Heart-John Fans?

For those like us who grew up watching teenybop classics G-mik and Berks, the date February 14 meant more than just Valentine's Day. It was the special, almost-destined date the stars portraying the now-iconic Missy/Gwyneth and Yuan/Javier were born. Think your fave showbiz OTP was already meant to be? Living in a fan community always hoping these fave  pairings would end up together, then on and off-screen couple Heart Evangelista and John Prats sharing the same birthday—in 1985 and 1984, respectively—was more than just "coincidence."

Here's some history: After debuting as a rather believable love team on G-mik, Heart and John would win the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards' Most Popular Loveteam of RP Movies & TV in 2003. They would go on to appear in blockbusters My First Romance, Trip, and Ang Tanging Ina, next to hit show Berks.   The two eventually translated their work chemistry in real life, becoming an item for a year spanning their five years of being professionally paired.

But that was a long time ago—19 years, would you believe? Heart and John have since led separate lives, even starting their own families. (Heart, as we all know, is with Senator Chiz Escudero, while John is with actress Isabel Oli and their two kids). But if you're like us game for a trip down memory lane, go through our gallery for some legit TBT on February 14!
