I met Lauren Reid, Nadine Lustre, and Andrea Luis in different times of my life—Lauren in 2011, Nads in 2015, and Lauren the year after. But 2017 was the year we all synced.
Our dynamic is cute. Nadine and I are very similar while Lauren and Andrea are likewise very similar. Nads and I are more of the creatives, the extroverted-introverts, the ones who are maybe a little shy at first. Lauren and Andrea on the other hand are the extroverts. They push Nads and I out of our comfort zones in more ways than one. I think it’s amazing that we have that kind of balance in our group.

I’ve learned a lot just by being with them. Andrea taught me to take responsibility for my actions and to keep moving forward, no matter what. Lauren taught me to love all of myself, to live in the moment, and to enjoy every minute of it. Nadine taught me to be tough and to focus on myself rather than what people think about me. I’d be pretty lost without them. They aren’t afraid to tell me what I need to hear. I think it’s very important to have those kind of people in your life—ones who are honest with you and who love you enough to go through those (sometimes) uncomfortable conversations when they feel you’re a little off course. We all genuinely care about each other and look out for one another.
On a lighter note, we share so many of the same interests. One example? We love to eat! Whether it’s trying out a new restaurant, throwing an afternoon barbecue or making sinigang for a movie night in, I’ve noticed that we really appreciate good food! We also love movie marathons, going to the beach, and the occasional GNO in Poblacion.
