It may be essential for people to share the same interests and perspectives with their life partners, but it’s not always a big deal especially if the love is very much alive. Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are living proof of that. Kath revealed at the grand opening of the fourth branch of KathNails by KCMB that they differ in almost everything and because of that, they learn from each other every day. Below, she talks about how their differences keep their relationship strong and happy, giving truth to the notion that opposites attract.

How did you meet?
"Nag-meet kami sa It's Showtime. Sabay kaming may promo, tapos growing up, dun ko siya nakilala."
What made you realize that it was 'love?'
What are your similarities?
"Wala. Sobrang magkaiba kami ni DJ. Sa lahat ng bagay, opposite kami."
How are you different from each other?
How do you deal with that?
"Nag-aaway kami because of the differences most of the time, kaya interesting kasi magkaiba kami. Natututo kami kung paano kami magme-meet halfway."
How do you handle conflict?
"Hindi kami nagsasalita kapag galit. We don’t make decisions when we’re mad. We talk. That’s the secret."
How do you keep your relationship strong?
"Video call kami lagi. Hindi kami ma-text so parating tawagan para update lang kung nasaan siya, ano schedule niya for the day, the usual."
What’s something people don’t know about Daniel?
Gusto niya nire-ready yung sarili. Ayaw nya ng mga biglaang plano."
