Enjoying the chill in the air? We are, too. 'Ber season is now full on and a series of holidays and long weekends are coming up. We've drummed up a fun and super easy thing to do indoors that will surely pair well with any other lazy activity you might have on board your couch or bed. Why not whip out and zap yourself a mug brownie using your microwave? We've selected and adapted three simple recipes to choose from and work with, a regular Pinoy tsokolate one, a gluten-free one, and a mint-chocolate spin on it. We've also pinned up a few of our favorite photographs of mug brownies online. Kitchen test away!
1. 2-Minute Pinoy Tsokolate Mug brownie (adapted recipe: source)
1 small egg
65 g light brown sugar
25 g plain flour
50 g Tablea chocolate
35 g salted butter
1 small handful of pinipig
10 g cocoa powder
Instructions: Melt the tablea chocolate with the sugar and butter for less than a minute in the microwave. Remove, wait for it to cool, then stir and crack in the egg followed by cocoa powder and flour, beat together. Combine completely in mug and return to microwave on 2 minutes at full power.

2. Mint Choc Mug Brownies A La Minute (adapted recipe: source)
3 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips or mint chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
2 tablespoons flour
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon coffee liquid
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
Instructions: Melt semi-sweet choc' chips and butter in microwave for half a minute, add the remaining ingredients at room temperature and mix well to combine. Microwave for 1 minute and rest for 5 minutes after before serving.
3. Gluten-Free Mug Brownies (adapted recipe: source)
1/4 cup gluten-free oat flour, quinoa flour, or maybe a gluten-free flour blend
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoon coconut oil
2 tablespoons milk, and semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions: Mix dry ingredients together 'till fully combined, then add the wet ingredients 'till a paste forms. Pour into your mug and microwave for 1 minute, check if it's soft on top.
