Singer-songwriters Johnoy Danao, Ebe Dancel, and Bullet Dumas shared the stage together with The Manila String Machine for their first anniversary concert last February 19. Held at the Music Museum, the audience was serenaded and treated to a night that's thrice the soul and music.
Bullet came to wow the show viewers by simply being his charismatic self. A bit awkward and yet hilarious, Bullet just knows how to please the crowd. At one point, he even joked, "Pag sawi ka naman, kala mo lahat ng kanta tungkol sa'yo eh."
Johnoy, on the other hand, was as calm as ever. Like the glue that keeps the dreamy trio in harmony, Johnoy brought romantic storytelling at its best. Because when love feels like a powerful force that sweeps you off your feet, we're reminded we have music to hold on to.
Meanwhile, Ebe came out with a revelation about being diagnosed with Clinical Depression. A music warrior, he urges people, "There is no shame in admitting these things happen. It's not your fault. If you ever lose your way, don't lose faith, don't lose hope."
The concert 3D: Danao, Dancel, Dumas presented by Gabi Na Naman Productions is a certain proof that no matter the style, the genre, music unites.
