Despite harboring burdens recently including the loss of loved ones and the shutdown of ABS-CBN—a company of which she shares a deep affinity, Sharon Cuneta is staging a digital concert titled "Sharon: Love and Music, A Mother’s Day Special."
The fundraising concert is in cooperation with ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc. and will benefit those affected by the current pandemic. It will be streamed on ABS-CBN Entertainment's Facebook, YouTube, and website on May 10, 8 PM.

In an Instagram post two days before the concert, Cuneta grieved over multiple losses in her life: Former Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr., famed director Peque Gallaga, and her sister Leonida "Nedy" Cuneta Valdez. She also mentioned her sadness over the Kapamilya network's failed franchise renewal that caused its free TV and radio operations to close down last May 5.
"These are things you cannot do anything about but need to face and try your best to set aside for a bit because you are about to do a concert in the hopes of raising funds for our (f)rontliners and hungry families that ABS-CBN’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig will never stop helping," the 54 year-old actress-musician wrote. "This is my life."

With Maestro Louie Ocampo at the helm, Cuneta is set to sing some of the "most popular and well-loved tunes that will bring joy, love, and inspiration to every home."
Since the lockdown, the local enteratinment icon has extended help to those in need. She donated PHP 1 million to Bantay Bata 163 at Regine Velasquez' own fundraising last April, and PHP 3 million in support of Angel Locsin’s campaign catering to frontliners.
