OPM icon Gary Valenciano raised PHP 6.8 million through his two-day digital concert "Hopeful," aimed at providing aid for communities affected by the coronavirus pandemic. For Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines and Shining Light Foundation, the veteran singer-performer used his vocal prowess to bring messages of light to Kapamilyas in these difficult times.

Mr. Pure Energy put on the virtual shows on his Facebook Live, singing his heart out to his hit songs like "Kapit Pinoy," "Sa Yahweh Ang Sayaw," "Look In Her Eyes," "The Answer," and "Ililigtas Ka Niya." He even shared the screen with his daughter and #ABSCBNLifestyleInspo Kiana Valenciano, performing a duet of “What More Can I Say.”

Valenciano also talked about his controversial tweet of him praying for heavily criticized President Rodrigo Duterte. "Many have said things about me when I said I would pray for the President. I’m going to continue to pray for him as I'm going to continue praying for the mayors, congressmen, governors, councilors, all the barangay captains," he said. "I don't know them by name but God does, and I'll continue."
Valenciano greeted not only his friends Ogie Alcasid, Iza Calzado, Martin Nievera, and more in the online initiative, but also COVID-19 frontliners, patients, and survivors alike. "It’s different when you have peace even if the whole world around you is fearful about COVID-19. COVID-19’s time is going to come to its end if we can gather together and pray in our own dialect wherever we may be. God is not boudn by time nor space," he said, before concluding his three-hour concert with a prayer.
