Last March 26, actress Iza Calzado revealed that she had been hospitalized for pneumonia and was waiting for test results to determine whether she contracted the coronavirus. Two days later, news broke that she tested positive.
Her talent manager Noel Ferrer has since been updating the public on her condition, and as of March 30, she has fully recovered.
Prior to this announcement, a video of Iza circulated the internet in which she was talking through an oxygen mask while being tended to by her nurse. Noel was quick to clarify that the video was not indicative of her current state and that she would be able to return home on Tuesday, March 31.
Still, her insightful message of hope rings true. In the 1:17 clip, the Bliss star reflects on a life lesson she learned throughout her hospital stay. “What little things and joyful things in life can make you complete. You don’t really need a lot of material things. You just need to be able to do the things that you are able to do. And that’s already a blessing in itself,” she says.
