Next to him being an actor, singer, and a 2nd lieutenant on the Philippine Army Reserve Force, Matteo Guidicelli admits another important part of his life: Sports. A dedicated, multitalented athlete, Sarah Geronimo's new husband competed in kart racing since the young age of 11 until his passion for sports eventually led him to triathlon racing eight years ago.
“I'm very blessed that my family grew up super health conscious especially with the triathlon community. But of course this is my advocacy and my belief to always keep a healthy lifestyle, not just by exercise but also by nutritional lifestyle,” he said at the Sante Barley press launch held last February 26.
As the brand's newest celebrity ambassador, Matteo admits that he is the living embodiment of the brand which represents the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle. “I will continue this and I will continue to spread the advocacy and my belief to my loved ones and to everyone in the future. Ever since I started joining triathlons, I have seen and raced along with the Santé Barley TriTeam with Kuya Kim Atienza” he said.

As a triathlete, Matteo’s daily workout routine includes a combination of swimming, biking, and running in the mornings complemented by either circuit or weight training at the gym later in the day. But after getting married to his longtime girlfriend and Pop Star last February 20, the nearly 30-year-old bachelor-no-more admits a lot has already changed in his life—including how he works out. At the same press launch, six days after his secret, much-controversial Christian wedding, Matteo revealed how he’s inspired to become more of a fitness buff as a married man.
“It's our sixth day together. This is my first event kumbaga and it is the best days of my life and we're blessed. We're all blessed. Everything is the same but I just have somebody beside me all the time kumbaga. Everything is better. I train better, I eat better, I sleep better... So everything's good. Everything's better,” he shared.
