With the growth of sports camps and fitness venues at some of our favorite resort destinations and, in general, the rise of interest in competitive activities following the locally held SEA Games, we can see the sports world fast forging new partnerships with the travel industry recently. This move, of course, is aimed at serving a long-lasting cause. Award-winning serviced residence and The Ascott Limited's flagship property, Ascott Makati, for example, also just announced a year-long partnership with Kaya FC (Kaya) Academy—the country's largest football academy.
“This relationship will enhance the value we provide to make our serviced residences guests’ home away from home as this year marks Ascott’s 20th anniversary milestone in the country," Ascott’s Country General Manager Daniel Wee said in a press release.
“We recognize that sports and travel can work hand-in-hand and so we are eager to introduce a brand-new consumer experience by bringing guests who are football fans closer to the sports that they love," seconded Ascott Deputy Country General Manager Philip Barnes.

Kaya calls itself a community-minded and culturally inclusive club that aspires to push for football in the Philippines, allowing more and more youth to take on the sport seriously and competitively. Complementing Ascott's efforts in feeding projects via Kusina ng Kalinga, Kaya also works with Gawad Kalinga in supporting underprivileged children through sports and values.
