When planning for your big day, it doesn’t hurt to dream big, even if you want to keep your plans small. You don’t even have to be a nature-loving couple to get the chance to exchange vows amidst a backdrop of a perfect sunset with a beach view that will definitely make for many Instagram worthy memories. Dreamy, but not impossible.
True, it’s not always easy to decide where to hold your big day, even with more than 7,000 islands in the country to choose from. But this is where the option for the most seamless and stress-free planning comes to mind. Starting this year, Alphaland’s Balesin Island Club opens its doors to couples who want to tie the knot without the worries and challenges that usually come with luxurious destination weddings.
Just a plane ride less than 30 minutes from Manila, Balesin takes you around the world with its seven destination-inspired villages spread out across 500-hectares of lush greenery, pristine white sands, clear waters, and luxury villas. Some of the world's most beautiful destinations around the world are on tangible display—Bali in Indonesia, Mykonos in Greece, Costa del Sol in Spain, Toscana in Italy, St. Tropez in France, and Phuket in Thailand—all in one island tour ride!

1. The first date
Despite its reputation as a world-class members-only resort, Balesin warmly welcomes inquiries for weddings through their Manila based office. Couples who are still unsure are encouraged to visit the island and are given a tour which can also include food tasting and a sit down with managers to discuss logistics and rooming of the guests. No need to be intimidated with cost as payment arrangements are done on friendly terms, after the initial deposit for reservation.
2. Plan your party
Once the final date has been set, let Balesin Island Club’s reservation officer take the helm as they guide you through which venue to choose (Heart & Chiz Escudero had their wedding at the Balesin Spa while Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia held theirs at the Costa del Sol). And just when you thought it was more than enough to have 20 venues to choose from, their largest venue, the Balesin Marquee, boasts of a 600 guest capacity for grand banquets perfectly suited to host everything from the wedding ceremony all the way to the after party.

This includes roundtrip airfare, accommodations, and food for the couple, two-night engagement photo shoot, ocular, and food tasting, use of the super yacht M/Y Obsessions for up to 50 guests, use of the Balesin Marquee venue, use of a barge for logistics transport, sound system and altar set-up, banquet setup, sound and lights system, bridal cart, exclusive use of two vans, 12 nights stay in the village of choice for guests, free use of all amenities on the island, and 12 nights stay at The Alpha Suites in Makati city.
