SAVE With the unexpected ashfall and eventual eruption of Taal Volcano in Batangas last January 13, thousands of residents from nearby communities had to be abruptly evacuated, if not stranded in her homes during a Level 4 calamity. Celebrities and other personalities used their influence online to urge their followers to help, whether in the form of donation of supplies, volunteer action, or prayer. Some celebrities took a more pro-active approach like Angel Locsin and Diether Ocampo who are also known for getting involved in outreach and fundraising efforts. How are the people? Are they being rescued? How about the more than 500 horses? That played a big role to all the tourist? Are they still alive? So many questions in my mind right now?... all we want is for all of them to be safe.. wherever we are right now, lets pray for the people in taal and living near taal and also the horses, animals to be safe, may the good lord cover them in safety and protection. We can’t control nature..... but anything can be possible through prayers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 #prayfortaal #prayforphilippines A post shared by Kim Chiu 🌸 (@chinitaprincess) on Jan 13, 2020 at 1:19am PST View this post on Instagram Praying for all of those who have been affected by the taal volcano eruption in the Philippines yesterday 💔 Hope everyone living close by were able to evacuate in time. May we all be mindful of the families that are greatly affected by the recent events. May we use our platforms and influence to encourage one another to pray for each other, help one another and be aware of what might happen in the coming days/weeks, so we can all raise awareness for our dear Kababayans. My heart goes out to the families, especially the children and elderly. Ingat po tayong lahat. And my family will continue to pray for us all. Uytingco (@alwynzky) on Jan 13, 2020 at 5:15am PST View this post on Instagram With everything happening around the world right now, I just can’t help but post this... all the signs are here: War, earthquakes, national disasters, rise of the anti christ etc.. Whether you like it or not, whether you’re ready or not, HE IS COMING. No one knows when. Tomorrow, next week, or maybe 5 years from now, nobody knows... that’s why we all have to be ready! spread love and not hate! Forgive the people who have wronged you, even though you don’t feel like they’ve earned your forgiveness. Love your family, your friends and your enemies, just as how Jesus loved the sinners. Stop the hate! Stop cyber bullying! Stop giving in to worldly temptations! Most importantly, READ THE BIBLE! 3 chapters a day won’t hurt. It won’t even take an hour of your time. Dedicate your life to Him before it’s too late. Strengthen your relationship with Him! . . . I know this post may draw good and bad reactions from people. But I just can’t help to not speak up on this. I know God put me in showbiz, not to be the most popular celebrity, but to use my platform to make Him popular. I know I’m not the holiest person alive, but I am proud to say that I have a relationship with God. And it is the BEST feeling ever. Prayers up to the people affected in the Taal eruption, Australia and South Korea fires, Iran & US conflict. 🙏🏻 God Bless everyone! A post shared by JONA (@jona) on Jan 12, 2020 at 1:03pm PST View this post on Instagram NAKAKAIYAK. When he sent me a message, I posted on Instagram right away for prayers. Because I panicked and already typed Batangas, I thought, I already included Batangas in my request for all to pray. Please don’t feel offended and know that my prayers goes out to ALL Filipinos. Regardless of where they are situated when Taal erupted. Unless our foot is standing on the land of Tagaytay let us not belittle their need for help and prayers.
