In Focus: These 10 K-Pop Tracks are Easy to Dance to if You're a Beginner!

As much as we enjoy singing our hearts out when we listen to K-pop (even though we really don't understand the words most of the time,) learning the choreography is just as fun! However, most K-pop songs have complicated and fast-paced dance moves that make it a challenge to memorize, especially if you're a beginner.

But that shouldn't stop you from unleashing your inner K-pop dance diva no matter what your skills are. From BIGBANG's "Fantastic Baby" to TWICE's "Cheer Up," here are 10 K-pop songs that you can nail with little-to-no sweat!

1. "Genie" by Girls' Generation

Whether you started getting into K-pop this years ago or not, we're sure that you know "Genie" by Girls' Generation! It's so popular that even people who are not fans of K-pop have heard this song, so it won't be hard for you to get excited in learning the dance steps. There are very few tough dance moves here and there, but it's pretty simple, and you could memorize the steps immediately with just little practice.

2. "Fire" by 2NE1

Another song that we're sure you're very much familiar with is "Fire" by 2NE1, which is the song that introduced most of us to K-pop. From the intro where they move their hands around up in the sky to the chorus where they are popping their shoulders side to side, this song has one of the smoothest dance moves that you can easily learn in just one day!

3. "Fantastic Baby" by BIGBANG

When you first hear BIGBANG's "Fantastic Baby," you would think that the dance moves are super challenging, but they're not! It's simple and easy to learn, even the foot movements that follow a fast beat. Plus, the choreography is also something you and your friends will surely enjoy making a dance cover of if you're both a beginner.

4. "Sorry Sorry" by Super Junior

The song that has been memorized by a lot of K-pop idols, particularly male idols, during their trainee days is "Sorry Sorry" by Super Junior. Besides it being one of the songs that paved the way for other artists to become popular internationally, it's also quite catchy! There is a lot of foot and hand movements in this song, but it won't take you a lot of effort to be able to do it.

5. "Ring Ding Dong" by SHINee

What we love most about "Ring Ding Dong" by SHINee is how cool it sounds when you listen to it, but when it comes to the choreography, it doesn't require some difficult floorwork or advanced transitions! It's a good song to dance to if you're a beginner because the steps are usually repetitive and spacious, which makes it a fun song to perform that also helps relax your body.

6. "Nobody" by Wonder Girls

Another song that popularized K-pop internationally is "Nobody" by Wonder Girls, which has a choreography that's quite effortless and iconic. Most of the steps are focused on moving your hips and pointing your finger, so what's great about this song's choreography is that there isn't a lot of moves that you need to think about to be able to follow!

7. "Bon Bon Chocolat" by Everglow

When "Bon Bon Chocolat" by Everglow was released last year, fans have quickly uploaded some excellent dance covers because of how refreshing the choreography is! If you are following the chorus, the main things you're doing will be moving your hips inward while your fingers form like bunny heads. And once you're able to memorize the chorus part, everything else becomes easy.

8. "Cheer Up" by TWICE

Most of TWICE's songs consist of dance moves that are easy to memorize and perfect for beginners. One of the songs that require little technique and only needs the willingness to dance is "Cheer Up" by TWICE. Most of the moves are similar, which makes it a fun song to dance to, especially the part where you have to move your arm up and down like you're trying to cheer!

9. "Bboom Bboom" by MOMOLAND

Last year, when "Bboom Bboom" by MOMOLAND became a viral sensation, almost everyone learned how to dance to this song, whether they're K-pop fans or not. It's because it has one of the easiest choreographies that only takes a slight bit of practice, so we're sure you'll be able to dance to this song without getting tired at all!

10. "Ddu Du Ddu Du" by BLACKPINK

When it comes to the K-pop industry, BLACKPINK is one of the groups that have songs that are relatively easy and fun to dance to! That's why if you're going to choose a BLACKPINK song, we suggest "Ddu Du Ddu Du" because of the gun move they have in the chorus that almost anyone can do. And once you learn the choreography in the chorus part, you'll be dancing like BLACKPINK in no time!

Whether you are a dancing machine or have two left feet, these K-pop dances we listed above will make learning this art a whole lot more painless. Plus, it's also a great way to exercise if you're not in the mood to run the treadmill or do some yoga. So put on your sweatpants and headphones because once you learn the steps to these songs, you won't feel like you're a K-pop beginner anymore!
