Holiday traditions may be different for everyone, but they always bring good memories and meaning to our gatherings. Kapamilya star Elisse Joson finds these practices essential in keeping family ties strong, that’s why she makes sure to have time for it especially during the month of January.
Every year, the Sandugo actress celebrates the Feast of Santo Niño with her loved ones—a tradition started by her grandmother way before she entered the showbiz industry. “Bata palang ako nun, and yung lola ko, pina-intindi niya sa amin kung bakit every year, magandang sama-sama ang pamilya at gawin ‘yun with the kids,” she told ABS-CBN Lifestyle at the ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID shoot. “Wala na yung lolo and lola ko, pero talagang naging tradition na namin ‘yun.”
This season is about family, after all. “Hindi na uso sa edad na may material thing kapag holidays so time lang together with them, precious gift na ‘yun,” Elisse concluded.
