The Six Fix: Christmas Songs to Add to Your

Now that the holiday season is just two days away, it's time to make sure your soul is ready to be festive, but it's hard when you're a SMP member this season. SMP A.K.A. "Samahan Ng Malalamig Ang Pasko" is your club of affliation if ever you find yourself single during the holidays.

And while we know that there's nothing wrong with being single this Christmas, we get why some of you might feel a teeny bit down especially if you're newly single this year. Whether you're carressing your lonely heart, feeling flirty, or chasing the bad vibes away with a holiday cheer, we've got the perfect songs to set the mood for you. From timeless classics to pop covers, these holiday songs are necessary for every SMP affiliate to listen to!

1. "Santa Tell Me" by Ariana Grande

Most of us don't like the idea of spending the holidays single, but it's much worse if we have someone by our side during Christmas, yet they leave us after the holidays. Well, that's what Ariana Grande's "Santa Tell Me" is about! Besides it being enjoyable and catchy that it can pass as a classic Christmas song, it also tells a story about a girl who asks Santa for a boyfriend who won't leave her after she gives it all, which is something that most of us in this generation have experienced already. If you're feeling flirty and hopeful this year, then this is the one!

2. "Where Are You, Christmas?" by Pentatonix

For those who have experienced a breakup this Christmas, "Where Are You, Christmas?" by Pentatonix, which was originally sung by Faith Hill, is for you. This song might sound sweet, but the lyrics are actually about the rollercoaster of emotions that may come with a change in life. As much as we love the original version, there's just something so comforting with the way Pentaonix sang it that we think will fit right into your SMP mood.

3. "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" by Miley Cyrus

A song that you always hear every Christmas is the classic festive single of Brenda Lee entitled "Rockin Around The Christmas Tree." With its rock and roll tune that also fits with the country music genre, we were not surprised when Miley Cyrus took the "rock" seriously when she covered the song! Out of all the artists that sang their version of "Rockin Around The Christmas Tree," Miley's is our favorite! It's truly something that will lift your mood during Christmas whenever you catch your thoughts drifting to bittersweet times.

4. "Mistletoe" by Justin Bieber

With its pop and R&B tune, "Mistletoe" by Justin Bieber took over the holiday season when it was released last 2011. Since then, it has been the Christmas song that most hopeless romantic people play when they want to feel warm and fuzzy. The lyrics are all about him wanting to spend time with the person he longs for, which is something we can all totally relate to. While Santa can't give you what you want yet, listen to this song to feel the love this season.

5. "One I've Been Missing" by Little Mix

Written by the girl group's very own Leigh-Anne Pinnock, "One I've Been Missing" by Little Mix is a song that has that '50s-inspired tune made to feel you special. The lyrics are about wanting to spend Christmas with a loved one whom they haven't been able to be around for a long time. As it's shown in the music video, they aren't only talking about a significant other, but also their fans and pets. This sugary bop is going to be enough to make you jolly and loved this Christmas!

6. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Fifth Harmony

Known as the most played Christmas song of the decade, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey is a classic holiday song that you wouldn't mind playing even if it's not Christmas! With its soothing melody and dance-pop styling, there had been numerous artists that covered this song, and that includes the former girl group Fifth Harmony. This uptempo love song is delightfully iconic, but this group made it more enjoyable to listen to!

Whether you want to indulge your SMP heart this Christmas or not, we hope that you find the true spirit of the season in the people who truly love you. Happy Holidays, one and all!
