A Thomasian bucket list is not a complete bucket list at all if it does not involve attending Paskuhan. It's safe to say that it is the most anticipated event of the year for every student which continues even after you've made an exit from the Arch of the Centuries. Yep, alumni are still welcome.
The annual UST Christmas festivity has so much in store to make sure that we end the year with a bang—the live performances at the Grandstand, the fair at Plaza Mayor, the excuse to dress up, and, of course, the majestic fireworks display. Can we really consider a Growling Tiger's life well lived if we don't experience any of these?
As cliche as it may sound, Paskuhan is one of the few things that make us full-blown Thomasians. Who knows, it might just become the best moment that's happen to you? We asked a few UST alumni about their favorite memory of Paskuhan just to, you know, convince you to attend this year's program umulan man o umaraw:
"Walking along Lovers' Lane with friends habang umuulan while singing along to the concert happening sa grounds." -LJ, 23
"Fireworks with barkada. Pictorial sa lights with friends." -Pat, 24
"Inuman outside ng campus after fireworks." -Kamil, 23
"During the day ng Paskuhan nung freshies kami, naligo kami dun sa fountain. It started as a joke. Nagkayayaan when they turned the fountain on then nagtulakan then sumama na buong barkada. Tapos nag-uwian kami and prepared ourselves for the night, flaunt our OOTDs, tapos foodtrip, shopping ng UST merch, then first Paskuhan live band experience and pyro at last." -Clara, 24
"Concert ng PNE (Parokya Ni Edgar) nung December 2013!!! Kahit maputik at umaambon, napuno pa rin ng Thomasians yung field." -Joshua, 22
"Roaming around under the lights with my special someone." -Jun, 24
"Nag-DOTA habang lasing after Paskuhan, umaga na nakauwi." -Niccolo, 23
"Nung first year Paskuhan, umakyat si Yael dun sa scaffolding tapos kumanta ng 'And I'll Always Love You.' Sobrang hyped ng crowed nun. Second year naman, umulan kaya nagpunta muna sa silong yung majority of the people na nasa field. Gumaya kami nagsilong muna pero naisip namin na bumalik na lang din para makapwesto kami sa harapan. Lagi kami sa harapan napwesto eh. So nilaban namin kahit medyo maputik. Saya! 'Yun 'yung may parang DJ pa, so party-party. Medyo dugyot pero enjoy." -Totie, 24
Tip to finish your 2019 off right: just enjoy Paskuhan which is happening this December 20th. You can bring your non-Thomasian BFFs, too! The lineup includes Munimuni, Lola Amour, The Juans, Magnus Haven, and Ben&Ben. Go off, Tiger! Maligayang Paskuhan!
