In the sneaker world, there are certain vintage styles that find themselves back to the present-day trend cycle, and such is the case for Lacoste’s Tennis 91. This time around though, the ‘90s-born design is reincarnated in the form of the premium brand’s latest drop, the retro-meets-modern-street Lacoste Court Slam. Perfect for the millennial aesthetic, these chunky kicks are sure to fit right into the wardrobes of the young and stylish set.
Last November 23 to 24, Lacoste unveiled the Court Slam line at the Glorietta Activity Center, and, since we’re always on the lookout for all things hip, we invaded the swag-filled event as we filmed a fresh episode of #ChalkGoesTo!
Aside from the launch of Lacoste’s latest sneaker offering, what made the event even more exciting was having the opportunity to get our Court Slam pairs stylized by art trio ARAL Cru. From color-blocking designs to an illustrated version of Lacoste’s signature croc icon, getting our kicks spruced up with a street touch surely brought that extra spring to our step!
During the event, the stage was also oozing with hip-hop flair, thanks to the performances of Steps Dance Project, A-TEAM Philippines, Careless Music Manila’s KINGwAw, AstroKidd, Curtismith, and Massiah, and DJ Nix Damn P.
Check out the photos below as we take you through the highlights of the Lacoste Court Slam launch!
In case you want to experience all the fun yourself, you’re still in luck because there’s another event happening this coming weekend from November 29 to December 1 at Alabang Town Center. Make sure not to miss it this time and get your hands on the freshest kicks in town!
