Style Inspo: Fashion Tips That Would Help You Get Through the Unpredictable Weather

By Maan de Vera

The unpredictable weather brings hassle in many aspects of our daily lives—our OOTDs included. As if it’s not already hard enough to get your attire on point everyday, the sudden change from being sunny to rainy and vice-versa makes the struggle even more real.

Here are the tips that would get you through the days when the sky can’t seem to make up its mind:

1. Wear a midi skirt.

When in doubt, reach for your midi skirt. This is the way to go if you want to ease through any weather while looking feminine. It‘s going to be cool and flowy enough during the hot phases of the day, and it’s also going to be long enough to cover your legs when it starts to get chilly.

2. Don't commit to your jacket.

This little trick may seem weird, but it totally works. (Un)wearing your jackets in your arm area will not only help you emphasize your shoulders, it will also be a great way to stay prepared should it rain anytime.

3. Rock your basic shirt + pants combo, but make it chic.

Nothing is easier than sliding into your easy shirt and pants combination, and we totally agree that this will make it through any weather. If you want to give this basic pair an upgrade, try switching it up with a cropped shirt and high-waist jeans.

4. Layer. Layer. Layer.

Layering your clothes is very tricky but can be super cute when done right. For starters, you may start with any bottom that you like, a camisole, and a blazer. You can always put on or remove your outerwear depending on the weather.

5. Be ready with an extra dress.

Whether you are drenched in your own sweat or soaked in the rain, the best thing to do is to change into dry and fresh clothes. This is why keeping a trusted one-piece garment like a dress in your office drawer or school locker is very important in case the weather changes abruptly.

Although we’re still unsure about how the weather will turn out, the least that we can do is to put our best fashionable foot forward whether it rains or shines!
