Pinoy Big Brother has produced some of today’s most popular and most well-loved personalities, and for sure, this new season at hand is no exception. While we’re already keeping tabs on the new batch of housemates, let’s take a look at how some of the show’s most remarkable housemates have transformed into this generation’s fashion role models:
Kim Chiu. Kim Chiu is inarguably one of today’s hottest style icons, and for good reason: You’d never catch her looking less than impeccable even if she’s just in a shirt and shorts. From a gawky teenage girl who was most comfortable in basics, the big winner of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 1 now has a mastery of what looks good on her and has got a good eye for trends.
Cop' her style: Don't be afraid to mix and match, overdress, and even take the laidback route. Each day is a new chance to try something new, just like Kim, who can go from girly one day to rugged the next.
James Reid. He’s that guy who looks good in just about everything (and with those abs, he looks even hotter shirtless), and his nonchalant attitude towards dressing up is something worth emulating. James’ take on style has always been laidback even during his stay in the Big Brother house; now though, he’s got more edge.
Cop' his style: Stock up on basic colors (black and white, most especially) to have a foolproof wardrobe that transcends seasons.
Melai Cantiveros. The whole nation fell in love with Melai because of her honest-to-goodness personality—she was candid, kind, and simple, and her signature dalagang Pilipina look during her PBB stint showcased just that. Having been thrust into the glitz and glamour of showbiz, she has learned to be more experimental with her fashion choices while still staying true to her ethereal sensibilities.
Cop' her style: Don't let anyone dampen your style. Melai has always been confident in her own skin, and isn't afraid of what others will think when she tries on something new.
Gerald Anderson. The cute Amboy’s wardrobe staples when he was in the Big Brother house were casual shirts and basketball shorts—he was, after all, your typical athletic teenager. Gerald, who’s currently seen on the primetime teleserye Nathaniel, has grown up to be one of showbiz’s best dressed actors and often rocks the hippest styles be it leather jackets or preppy uniforms.
Cop' his style: Make sure your clothes fit impeccably on you. Clean lines will always be in, even in casual dressing, so tailor fit pieces really take you places.
