Cheat Sheet: How To Treat Yourself After Exam Week

 

You're finally done with all the words and equations you have to remember to be able to pass. Yes, your exam week has finally come to an end!  Now, all you have to think about is how you're going to reward yourself for the hard work you've poured in!

Whether you're still a freshman or a graduating student in college, it's nice to remind yourself that your hard work has paid off and deserves a celebration! If you're still in the thought process on how to treat yourself, we listed some of the best ones down below:

1. Catch up on your favorite shows.

We're sure that during your exam week, you were too focused on studying that you didn't have time to watch the new episodes of your favorite shows. Now that it's over, celebrate the time of no responsibilities and binge to your heart's content without getting worried about how it will affect your grades! And of course, don't forget to bring a tub of ice cream or popcorn with you. 

2. Eat everything you want.

Once the exam week is over, you no longer have to eat the same food in that cafe you always go to when you have to review. Not to mention: all that coffee you downed in your system! From Korean BBQ to all the street food you used to leisurely eat when you had free time, this is the perfect moment to indulge with the best eats you can think of. If you want, you can call your squad and celebrate by eating at a restaurant or any food place you haven't eaten before. Either way, just know that you earned it!

3. Have a shopping spree.

Retail therapy works for a lot of people, including us! That's why if you're the type of person who enjoys treating yourself with a cute dress or new makeup just like us, then retail therapy is for you. Don't get us wrong, we're not telling you to spend boat loads of cash in one trip to the mall. Always be mindful of your budget! If you know buying those nice shoes wouldn't affect your financial stability, then go for it.

4. Go on a trip with friends. 

One of the best ways to reward yourself after a hard week of studying is by going on a trip with your friends, the people who probably understand your restlessness more than anyone since they experienced the same thing, too. Hike or camp in the mountains, or just have a road trip to places you've never been to before. As long as you're with your friends, we're sure you'll have fun and feel grateful!

5. Sleep the whole day. 

Perhaps the best way to treat yourself after exam week is having a looong nap. You've been pulling all-nighters for the past few days, and the bags under your eyes aren't happy about it⁠. So go wash your favorite beddings, have a well-deserved skincare sesh, get into your comfiest PJs, and reunite with your beloved bed! Even if you don't feel tired at all, do this for your mind and body because there's nothing more relaxing than this. No alarms this time!

At the end of the day, we're sure you just want to recover from all the days you spent restlessly. That's why if the only thing that you want to do is stay at your house all day without doing anything at all or traveling across the country with a special someone, whatever you choose to do with this well-deserved break⁠—as long as you do it with your heart's desire—it's truly worthwhile!
