LouDre, Moira Dela Torre, The Vowels They Orbit are all coming to Myx this September! Lou Yanong and Andre Brouillette were chosen to be this month’s Myx Celebrity VJs—an exciting project for fans of the PBB housemates-turned-lovers—while Moira was named Myx Headliner. The indie pop-rock band behind “Selos” will be featured in the MYX Spotlight. And if that’s not enough for you Myx fans, watch out for the launch of its new shows! VJ Edward Barber will host MYX Most Viewed, while Pinoy MYX Breakout highlights music videos from local artists.
Meet the newest collab to enter the competitive world of advertising media. Philippine ad giant Game Plan Marketing Solutions, Inc. and AD Nagata, the biggest Asian OOH company, have announced their new partnership, bringing together not just their out-of-home (OOH) advertising expertise from different cultural backgrounds, but opening the door to even more innovative and strategic ways of reaching target markets. GP-Nagata offers solution-based services in the form of creative inputs, strategic support, and technical know-how to clients, while specializing in producing quality of billboards, large and small format advertising, digital advertising, public-market executions, as well as other community-based endeavors.
On a numbers perspective, the 2019 SEA Games could be the largest that the Philippines has ever seen. Picture 11,000 athletes and officials, 9,000 volunteers, 530 events, 56 sports, 44 venues in Clark, Subic, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, and La Union. With that, the Philippine South East Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) recruited some of the biggest names in music to create the event’s official theme song. Entitled “We Win As One”, the number is sung by Tony awardee Lea Salonga, composed by National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, and written by Palanca award-winning writer and director Floy Quintos.
In more sports news, UAAP Season 82 has officially begun! To kick off this exciting season, the opening ceremony was held last August 31 at the SM Mall of Asia with performances from the Ateneo Glee Club, the Ateneo Dance Club, and the Blue Babble Battalion, as well as top local bands Sponge Cola, Itchyworms, Autotelic, December Avenue, and IV Of Spades. This was followed by the reading of the Oath of Sportsmanship by Ateneo fencing sensation and World Cup bronze medalist Maxine Esteban as well as the recognition of athletes who have and will represent the country in international tournaments.

At Manila's most hip and iconic bars this September 12-13, the first ever Manila Cocktail Festival is set to celebrate Filipino cocktail scene.
