In Focus: What's New At This Year's Fête de la Musique?

Big days of music and fun adventures are ahead of us the entire month of June with the annual Fête de la Musique returning for its 25th anniversary in the Philippines! Yes, it's been more than two decades since the country first hosted its own version of the free-for-all festival, which France pioneered in the '80s, while celebrating the best of our local music scenes and will continue to do so this 2019. Did that get you excited? Well, here's another thing: Presenters Alliance Française de Manille together, B-Side Productions and the Embassy of France to the Philippines promised that this year's Fête won't be like the others.

More than the main stages of our old favorite acts across Metro Manila and several other provinces in the country, Fête brings out a calender filled of new traditions. This is while staying true to its vision of “music everywhere and the concert nowhere" by offering all styles of music for all walks of life. Here we rounded up everything new you can look forward to at #FetePH25:

50+ pocket stages

The fest doubled the number of their pocket stages to cater more artists of various genres and make sure no audiophile will get left behind. Definitely there is something for everyone!

Music Heals: Fête de la Musique Pop-Up

Fête introduced a pop-up show highlighting the healing power of music featuring nurse-rapper Fatima Palma-Loo and other artists last June 8 at the Virlanie Foundation in Makati City. What a special way to open the festivities.

Pre-Fete de la Musique Parties

Come June 15, three kick-off parties will simultaneously take place at the Sunset Collective Stage at KMC Skydeck, in Bonifacio Global City, the Rockeoke Stage at Salon de Ning in The Peninsula Manila in Makati City, and the SX Manila Stage at Rizal Open-Air Auditorium in Luneta Park. Let's get this party started anywhere here, shall we?
