In Focus: The Wanna One Members Are Pursuing Solo Careers Now, And We Still Stan!

When Wanna One broke the news that they were officially disbanding for good last December, it caused quite a meltdown among fans. And now it's been five months yet loyal Wannables are still finding it hard to cope with the loss. That's understandble considering the freshness and the unlikeliness of the eleven idol members reuniting as a group again.

However, we think we can all agree that even after going their separate ways, the boys have managed to keep the fandom energetic with get-together updates here and there and, of course, their solo musical pursuits. If your inner Wannable has missed out for too much crying in the corner, hang in there. We've got you covered!

Here's where the Wanna One boys are at right now in their career:

Kang Daniel

He just recently won the court's favor to finally cut off his contract with LM Entertainment. So yes, Daniel is bent on making a fresh start and pursue solo activities. We're waiting, bb!

Park Ji Hoon

This ultimate wink boy has released his solo debut album O'Clock back in March with its romantic lead single "L.O.V.E." In the same month, visited Manila for a kilig-packed fan meeting! And since you asked for it, Jihoonie is set for an acting comeback in drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency soon!

Ong Seong Wu

Ready for the rise of actor Seongwu? You should be, because he'll be making his debut in youth series Moments of 18! His special musical release produced by Wanna One's producer Flow Bow is also coming our way on June 7th. WELOs, where you at?

Ha Sung Woon

Also soaring on his own is Sungwoon with debut single "Bird", off his mini album My Moment. He also dropped a self-composed track "Don't Forget" featuring Jihoon and is getting into the K-drama scene by singing the OST for Her Private Life!

Lai Guan Lin

We couldn't be more excited when Linlin was confirmed to take the lead role in the Chinese remake of Thai romance Crazy Little Thing Called Love (or First Love.) Can you imagine how heart-fluttering his scenes will be? Apart from his solo activities in China, he also teamed up with Pentagon's Wooseok to form a hip hop duo called 9801!

Bae Jin Young

This Bae kicked off his solo career with single "Hard To Say Goodbye" and is now gearing up to be part of idol group C9BOYZ/CIX. He also visited Manila for a fan meeting last May!

Lee Dae Hwi

Our charismatic Daehwi went on to join rookie group AB6IX who just recently debuted with the track "Breathe." Prior to that, he has proven success in the songwriting field, composing songs for other artists including Jihoon's "Young Twenty." He also took on a hosting stint on M Countdown!

Park Woo Jin

Woojin also came as a familiar face alongside Daehwi in AB6IX. He has also stepped foot into the international music scene as he collaborated with American rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie for the Korean remix version of the latter's "Look Back At It" track. Way to go, Woojin-ah!

Hwang Min Hyun

As much as we love seeing him with Wanna One, we're thrilled to have Minhyun back with the rest of Nu'est in their new release "Bet Bet" off their Happily Ever After album. Speaking of "happily ever after," we're about to get exactly that with the group coming to Manila for their Segno Tour this August 31 at the Big Dome!

Kim Jae Hwan

It was a pretty impressive start for Jaehwan's solo flight as he took his first musical win for "Begin Again" on The Show which came just in time for his birthday on May 27th! There to witness his victory on stage were Woojin and Daehwi, too! A brief but sweet Wanna One reunion, we'll take that!

Yoon Ji Sung

In February, our leadernim Jisung dropped his debut EP Aside followed by a special album Dear Diary a few months later. He also became the male lead in the musical The Days. On a sadder note, Jisung officially enlisted in the military early this May but left with a digital single present, "Winter, Flower." We'll wait for your safe return, our angel!

Looking at it from a brighter perspective, the disbandment did not bode badly for us fans. In fact, the move has given us a long list of new sounds to stream and a chance for members to show their individual charms even more! Let's just enjoy these moments as much as they do, and, who knows, maybe in the future they're still destined to be one. Either way, knowing their friendship lives on is good enough!
