While Lent as Filipinos' first major holiday this summer might be over, we still have a lot to look forward to. We have Labor Day, Flores de Mayo, or any quick weekend to spend for a trip for that matter. James Reid, one busy stud who takes advantage of any worthwhile vacay, knows the value of having a breather every now and then. And this summer, the adventurous, always-thirsty-for-the-outdoors, and, fittingly, Merrell's recently hailed ambassador is one too excited to maximize the hot season. “Sometimes it really gets crazy in the city and in showbiz, but when I’m out in the nature, I can be myself and I can relax,” he said in a press statement.
Excited to explore of what's left this summer, too? Check out the following destinations currently on James' bucket list for some #travelinspo—who knows if you'll find him these days in any of these spots?

James is a true-blue hiker, evident on his environment Down Under growing up and if it's not that obvious yet on his Instagram posts of him brooding against these picturesque cliffs, forests, and other works of nature. Mt. Pulag is atop the actor-musician's list not just for its famed beauty (beautiful sunrise/sunert and breathtaking blankets of clouds FTW!), but also for its rich biodiversity!
You could say James, together with girlfriend Nadine Lustre and their squad, has put Siargao among Pinoy millennials' dream destinations—especially after their second anniversary celeb in the remote paradise February last year. What else to do in Siargao? Swim with stingless jellyfish at Tojoman Lagoon, explore the Tayabangan Cave, dip in the Magpupungko rock pools, paddle board in Sugba Lagoon, and mingle with tourists and locals left and right!
"Beach bum" might be an understatement to call James, who also prefers Siquijor not just for its turquoise waters and white sand on its coastline. It's also for the mystique surrounding the province's folklore!
James is a thrill-seeker, we repeat! And his dream destination next to the supposedly haunted Siquijor clues us in on this! Roopkund in the Garhwal Himalayas, in the region of Chamoli, India, is a high altitude mountain glacial lake (in)famous for the tons of ancient skeletons that surround it. If this scares you, there are also Auli, one of the more popular ski resorts in the northern state of Uttarakhand; and the Yamunotri Temple, one of the most sacred shrines in the area for you to experience and explore.
Speaking of the Himalayas, Nepal also comes on top of James' bucket list for three offerings: A spiritual and cultural immersion via the ancient city of Kathmandu, a dose of adrenaline at Pokhara especially for paragliders, and a sense of peace through a stroll at the Chitwan National Park.
