In Focus: Here's Major Proof That BTS'

Anticipation is higher than ever since BTS announced their 2019 comeback. The good thing is that they're the best players at meeting our expectations or, better yet, outdoing it. Nothing could ever really go wrong when it's the Korean supergroup involved. So when they served Map of the Soul: Persona, we found out that it isn't plainly good but unusually superior.

Many assumed its potential to become BTS' biggest hit to date prior to the album's arrival, and they weren't mistaken. It gave their legion of ARMYs—who stick with them all the way—every reason to celebrate.

If you missed out on the action, we'll recall the crazy big things that happened during BTS' comeback season down below!

"Boy With Luv" featuring Halsey

Bangtan did what had to be done by collaborating with their celebrity friend and ARMY, Halsey in their lead single "Boy With Luv." And oh my my my, it's too addicting to handle! But we love Halsey more for perfectly blending with our boys and flying to another country to shoot and all. Salute!

Ed Sheeran collab

BTS has successfully mastered the art of surprises as it turned out, one of their new songs, "Make It Right", is written by British hitmaker Ed Sheeran which, BTW, is the first K-pop song he had the honor of crafting. You made the right decision, Ed!

Of course, we won't dare forget a new BTS sub-unit was formed! Through the song "Jamais Vu," we got to hear the beautiful vocals of J-Hope, Jungkook, and Jin altogether. You should listen to it on repeat. It's a remedy for any of your woes.

Smashing records

After smashing a strong feat with "IDOL" last year, they are back again to set new YouTube records. On its opening day, the music video for "Boy With Luv" garnered a staggering 78million views (and counting) breaking the video-sharing site's 24-hour view count. Yep, they did that.

Crashing YouTube and Melon

ARMYs don't want things easy. The moment "Boy With Luv" dropped, they went full-force over to YouTube and Korea's major streaming platform Melon! That's the power of the Bangtan Boys!

Claiming Spotify

Nothing they do is ever average, really. BTS even got to have the title of first Asian act to surpass five billion streams on Spotify. Credit also goes to their iconic track "Fake Love" which contributed to this feat.

Climbing iTunes charts

The success of the comeback escalated quickly as Map of the Soul: Persona tops iTunes Top Album chart in (as of writing time) 86 countries worldwide, while "Boy With Luv" scored No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 67 countries.

Receiving ARIA accreditation

Not Persona related, but we can't help but think that BTS getting ARIA gold status just came in time for their comeback! The Australian Recording Industry Association awarded "DNA", "Fake Love," and "MIC Drop (Remix)" on April 12 and this makes them the first K-Pop group to receive ARIA accreditation.

Performing on Saturday Night Live

They can't certainly finish the weekend without a live performance, you know. Taking comeback stage to another level, BTS appeared as SNL's musical guest. Who, aside Emma Stone, involuntarily screamed when it happened? Be honest, ARMYs!

To conclude, BTS once again swept the internet, music charts, the globe, and everything that's conquerable. And it's just the first week. More winning days are still ahead of them. For that, we'll be sending are big congratulations in advance! Now, who's ready for #BoyWithLuv1stWin?
